Editorial Policy

Almean publishes sourced reference guides to Malaysian food, local language, customs, etiquette, and regional everyday life.

How we research

We prefer the source responsible for a fact: official databases and institutional records for formal listings, language references for definitions, and original documents for dates or organizational claims. Reliable secondary sources may add context. Community posts and comments are used to discover questions, wording, and exceptions, not to establish universal facts.

Evidence and limitations

Articles should distinguish documented facts, reported experience, and editorial inference. Regional, household, language, and community differences are stated where they affect the answer. We do not claim that a limited menu sample, interview, or discussion represents all of Malaysia.

Experience and authorship

We do not describe research as a visit, test, interview, or first-hand experience unless a record of that work exists. The Almean Editorial Team is responsible for site maintenance and corrections; individual contributors or reviewers are named only when their identity and contribution can be verified.

Corrections and updates

Substantive updates receive an accurate modification date. To suggest a source or request a correction, email [email protected] and identify the page, statement, and supporting evidence.
